Luigi Mangion, accused of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has exchanged letters with a woman, who wrote her about the struggle to fight with the insurance company for her sick daughter.
The woman, Karen, in a letter to Mangione, claimed that her daughter developed the entire catatonia in January 2024 and spent 60 days in the hospital in the same year.
His daughter had “rare, life-drank disease that requires continuous care and medical treatment,” and United Healthcare refused to pay for her recommended treatment.
Ms. Karen claimed that she had to fight for months before she could give her daughter the medicine she needed.
He vowed to “maintain the fight” in the name of Mangian.
26 -year -old Mangione thanked the woman for sharing her story with her. In response, he wrote, “Your letter is the first to make me tears. I am like this, so you and your daughter had to agree so sensitively.”
UPNN Graduate asked 66 -year -old Ms. Karen to send a picture of herself and her daughter, as well as a clear picture of Jesus, as the letter had a blurred black and white image. He promised to place it on the walls of his jail cell next to his letter.
He wrote, “If you are able to send a picture of your/your daughter or mosaic, it will mean me. I will put it on the wall of my jail cell next to your letter.”
He concluded the letter, “Your daughter is blessed for a mother who loves her very much and fights so constantly for her.”
Since his arrest in December, Mangian has received thousands of letters from his supporters and fans. He said, “I am overwhelmed and grateful to all who have written me to share their stories and express my support.”
Mangian said that when he could not answer all the letters, he read each of them. He also thanked everyone for taking time to write.
The 26-year-old is being conducted in two cases of first-degree murder allegations and second degree murder at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. He is ready to appear in the federal court on 19 March.
