Among all of them, Dum Elu gains great popularity. This Northern Indian dish is prepared by potatoes of a slow cooking child in a delicious gravy. What should Bengali-style dum Elu do?
Bengali-style dum Elu gives an interesting twist to regular dum alu. Typically, this dish is prepared with less spices and has a slightly thick texture. However, this Bengali version is spiceer in taste due to the addition of daggi chilli and Kashmiri red chili. It is also thin in texture compared to regular dum alu. In addition to tomatoes, a sign of touch for curry adds.
What to serve with Bengali-style dum alu?
The taste of Bengali-style dum alu is best when warm rice is served with steam. Alternatively, you can also taste this alu curry with vegetable casserole. If rice is not your first preference, feel free to enjoy it with soft rotis or crispy lacha parathas. Don’t forget to connect it with some pickle and onion.
How to make Bengali-style dum alu | Bengali-style dum alu recipe
To prepare a Bengali-style dum alu, wash the baby’s potatoes thoroughly and boil them with some salt in the cooker. Next, add coriander powder, cumin powder, dagi chili, Kashmiri red chili powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste and water to a bowl. Mix well to make a smooth paste. Now, heat mustard oil in hard work and sauce zer, cardamom, bay leaf and a cinnamon rod. Add boiled potatoes to the hard paste with the prepared paste. Add tomato puree and water, and allow the gravy to cook for a few minutes. Once it is done, sprinkle Bengali garam masala and salt to taste. Mix well, place a charcoal in a stanner above the hard work, cover it with a lid, and cook again for 4-5 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
