Karan Johar bets on Alpha trailer, calls Alia and Sharvari ‘block a buster’
Karan Johar is in support of Alpha. While praising Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s “girl power” action pairing, her latest post also addressed the nonsense started by her teaser reshare, where Sharvari was not tagged.
Karan Johar is all set Alpha. Hours after the trailer of the film starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari was released on Wednesday, the filmmaker praised the action thriller, calling it a “blockbuster” and celebrating the film’s “girl power”. Her post also caught the attention of fans as she tagged both Alia and Sharvari, a few weeks after social media users pointed out that Sharvari was missing from her teaser post.

Sharing the trailer on his Instagram story, Johar wrote, “GET SET GO!!!! #ALPHA. This rock and roll action screams girlpower in the best way! @aliaabhatt and @sharvari are on a mission to block a buster!”
He also praised the film’s supporting cast and the team behind it.
“OG energy with @anilskapoor and @iambobbydeol! Shiv Rawail makes his big screen debut with a bang! Pave the way for @yrf! You are the mega creator of this fun universe!!!” He added.

Johar’s latest post comes after his reaction Alpha The teaser sparked discussion online. While he was among the first celebrities to re-share the teaser and cheer for Alia Bhatt, some users noticed that he did not tag Sharvari. However, Sharvari did not appear in the teaser, with her character only introduced in the newly released trailer.

The trailer features Alia and Sharvari as elite operatives taking on Bobby Deol’s dangerous rival. It also appears to answer one of the biggest fan theories related to the film.
While many had speculated that Bobby Deol would play Alia’s father, the trailer reveals that his character kidnaps Sita in her childhood and turns her into a deadly killer. Years later, she turns against him when he sets out to wage war against India.
Sharvari joins Sita on the mission, while Anil Kapoor is seen advising both agents through their high-risk operation. Eagle-eyed fans have also spotted what they believe is a brief hint of Hrithik Roshan’s return, with a wink shot fueling cameo speculation.
