Former One Direction member Liam Payne has died after falling from a Buenos Aires hotel balcony. Recent reports suggest that he tried to escape from his room in an inebriated state.
According to a recent report, former One Direction star Liam Payne allegedly attempted to escape from his hotel room before collapsing, despite hotel staff being aware of his intention to use the balcony.
The incident occurred at the Casasur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, where Pené, who was known to dislike staying in hotel rooms, refused to go to his room after becoming extremely intoxicated.
Disturbing security footage showed hotel staff dragging the 31-year-old man into the lobby as he resisted returning to his room.
Shortly after he was taken back, a staff member called emergency services, expressing concern for Payne’s safety.
“I don’t know whether his life could be in danger or not. He’s in a room with a balcony, and, well, we’re a little scared,” the employee reportedly told 911, according to the transcript obtained by TMZ.
Despite these fears, the hotel staff eventually left Payne alone in the room. Moments later, he collapsed and died.
