Defending Sen, Modi said that he had made his success on his own. He said, “Sushmita is a beautiful, successful and self-made woman. She has more diamonds than almost everyone I know, and she earned everything herself. She even had diamond reserves.”

Modi said he had no regrets about sharing the post publicly. He said, “It really broke the Internet. For a few days it seemed like that was all anyone was talking about. But we had a beautiful story and I don’t regret a minute of it.”
