According to the official logline, in Knives Out 3, Benoit “teams up with an honest young priest to investigate a completely impossible crime in a small-town church with a dark history.” During an interview with Tudum, director and writer Rian Johnson shared details about the film and revealed, “The themes of crime, mystery, morality and fallen humanity all feel at home in a church, with a man of God at the center of the mix.”

The preview for Knives Out 3 shows Daniel Craig’s Detective Benoit working to solve the murder of Monsignor Jefferson Wicks, ending with the declaration: “With all the pieces on the table, this crime appears impossible.”

In the third sequel to the Knives Out franchise, Daniel Craig returns as Detective Benoit Blanc. The cast of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery also includes Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, Josh O’Connor, Kerry Washington, Jeremy Renner, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Hayden Church.
