National Award winning actor Kirti Suresh is talking to play the role of a female head contrary to Suriya in an upcoming Telugu film, titled ‘796cc’. The film is to be directed by Venky Ataluri, known for successful ventures like ‘Sir’ and ‘Lucky Basakhar’.

While Kerthi Suresh has not officially signed the dotted line, she is the top option for the female lead. ‘Mahanati’ star and National Award winner has worked in ‘Rang D’ with first director Venki Ataluri, and both shared a strong creative coordination.

A source close to the project mentioned, “Karthi has given a positive reply on the script. It has a scope for a fine performance, which has been excited. However, the team is waiting for its final node, but the talks are definitely in advanced stages. Venky Sir and his Pan-India appeal, looking at his coordination, is an ideal option to the project.”

This will be the second project of the actor simultaneously. He was earlier added to ‘Thana Serdha Kottam’, which was released in 2018. Directed by Vignesh Shivan, the film was a remake of the 2013 Hindi film ‘Special 26’. An internal source said, “Kirti and Suriya can be electric on the screen together.” If everything falls, the shoot will begin by mid -May.

While the official confirmation about the casting of Kerthi is awaited, the anticipation around the pair has already created a discussion. Meanwhile, Karthi was last seen in a Hindi film, named ‘Baby John’, in front of Varun Dhawan, and Meanwhile, Suria waits for the release of her upcoming film ‘Retro’Which is ready to release on 1 May.
