Kerala government honors Mohanlal after Dadasaheb Phalke wins
The Kerala government honored experienced actor Mohanlal for receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan attended the ceremony held in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Kerala government organized a special condemnable ceremony at Thiruvananthapuram to honor Mohanlal after receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award as the highest recognition in Indian cinema. The program, participating by state ministers, filmmakers and artists, won the immense contribution of Mohanlal in Indian and Malayalam cinema. The ceremony highlighted the actor’s four -decade of career, with over 340 films in many languages and a prominent person in art.
Ministers V Shivkutty, Saji Cherian, KN Balgopal, and GR Anil, veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan and Kerala’s first Dadasaheb Phalke Awards attended the event. Ambika, Rainjini, Malavika, Director Joshi, CPI State Secretary MV Govindan, and MP AA Rahm were also present to join others. Mohanlal as part of recognition as artist A. A memento, a scroll and a painting were found by Ramachandran.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who presented Felicitation, described the actor as a “pride of every Malayali”, in which his ability to portray various characters was highlighted and referred to his acclaimed performance in ‘Vanprastham’, ‘Vijayan commented on Mohanlal’s vigorous work morality, “In 1986, in 1986, he acted in 34 films in 1986,” Let’s take films. “
Speaking on the incident, Mohanlal said, “This is the land where I was born and raised. Its air, its buildings, its memories are part of my soul. Such feelings cannot be acted.”
Addressing the audience, Mohanlal said“It is with intensive pride and gratitude that I am standing in front of you today, receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which is an honor established by the Government of India in the name of the revered father of Indian cinema. I am deeply humble to stay from our state to another with this national recognition.” He said, “I see this award as a collective tribute to our industry, creativity, heritage and flexibility. To be honest, I never dreamed of receiving this honor, even in my wild dreams. So it is not a dream, but it’s not more; it is magical and sacred.”
Underlining his commitment to the industry, Mohanlal said, “I accept the award as a blessing of the mythological blessings of Malayalam cinema, past and the present. As an actor, the award deepens my commitment to cinema. I vow to continue my journey with responsibility.” The award, he noted, is not just a personal achievement, but is recognized for the entire Malayalam film fraternity.
With a career over forty years, Mohanlal has acted in more than 340 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. He has won five National Film Awards, including the best actor for two, a special jury mention, a special jury award and one as a producer for the best feature film.
