Actress Keerthy Suresh has shared heartfelt memories of her wedding with her long-time partner Antony Thattil, and revealed the moments that stick with her even months after the ceremony. The National Award-winning actor tied the knot with Antony in a beautiful Goa wedding in December 2024 and recently spoke about the deeply emotional experience associated with the ceremony.
Keerthy Suresh remembered her wedding day
The couple, who recently collaborated with Asian Paints to give fans a glimpse of their home, also reflected on the journey that led them to marriage. Keerthy Suresh admitted that a grand wedding was never a part of her plans. He revealed, “I really thought we would elope. We had never even dreamed of having a wedding like this because I had never imagined such a grand celebration. And when it actually happened, after a point we were speechless.”
One of the most touching memories for Kirti was seeing Antony crying during the ceremony. They described the intensity of standing at the altar after 15 years together. She said, “When you are yearning for 15 years, and it all comes down to those 30 seconds, I couldn’t see anything else. I was completely blank. Everything seemed empty except the thali (sacred mangalsutra symbolizing the marital bond). It was a very emotional moment. This is probably the first time I saw her cry. It has been a beautiful journey.”
Kirti and Antony’s love story
Kirti and Antony’s love story started long before their emergence in cinema. Childhood sweethearts, their relationship endured long distances, as Antony, a Dubai-based businessman originally from Kochi, supported Keerthi while she pursued her acting career in India. Their bond, strengthened by time and trust, ultimately culminates in a celebration that reflects their shared journey. The wedding included both a traditional Hindu ceremony and a Malayali Christian ceremony, which was respectful of their backgrounds and values. Attended by close family, friends and members of the film industry, the celebration was described as intimate but elegant.
