Hollywood actress Kate Winslet recently shared her experience with testosterone replacement therapy, which she underwent to boost her libido. In a podcast interview, the Titanic star candidly discussed how a loss of libido can often be attributed to hormonal imbalances.
during his appearance on the podcast How to Fail with Elizabeth – Part 1Kate Winslet explained, “Sometimes women experience a significant drop in libido due to underlying health issues such as thyroid problems.” She gave this advice to a listener who wanted to improve her sex life.
Elaborating further, she said, “There could also be something wrong with your testosterone levels.” When a listener expressed concern about losing her sex drive with her long-term partner, Kate said, “A lot of people don’t know this, but women have testosterone in their bodies, and when it runs out – like eggs – it runs out. Once it runs out, you have to replace it, and that’s something that can be done. You’ll feel sexy again. I know that.”
Sharing empowering insights, Kate said, “I think as women get older they become more attractive and sexier and more in tune with their reality, more powerful, able to move through the world and care less and that’s an empowering thing.”
Kate Winslet is married to Edward Abel Smith. They got married in 2012. Meanwhile, on the work front, Kate’s upcoming film Lea made its theatrical debut in the UK on September 13. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month.
