On his birthday on June 25, Aftab Shivdasani announced that he is returning with the sequel of ‘Kasoor’. The film stars Urvashi Rautela in the lead role. Aftab’s 2001 film ‘Kasoor’ with Lisa Ray was a sleeper hit. However, the songs were extremely popular and are famous even today.

Aftab Shivdasani has begun shooting for ‘Kasoor’. The actor has shared his photos from the sets of the film, which feature his serious and grim look from the 2001 film.

Sharing pictures from the sets of ‘Kasoor 2’, Aftab wrote, “On this special day, as I turn a year older, the only gift I ask for is your love and blessings. Thank you for your love all these years. I am so grateful and blessed to be working on a very special film on this birthday that means so much to me. Love and gratitude. #Kasoor.”

Described as a psychological horror story, ‘Kasoor’ revolves around three characters. The film is directed by Glenn Barretto and written by Mudassar Aziz, while Babloo Aziz is presenting the project. An additional male lead actor is expected to be confirmed soon.

Confirming the sequel of ‘Kasoor’, producer Aasif Sheikh said, “It is a very unique concept – a musical romance horror. When Aftab heard the story, he was very excited about the subject. The audience will see Aftab Shivdasani in a very different role on the silver screen. It is a writer-backed role, and we are in the process of finalising a female lead and another male lead alongside Aftab. These roles will be announced soon.”

The release date of the film has not been revealed yet.
