The Instagram video shared by Kartik shows him watching the live announcement of the National Film Awards with his family. As soon as his name was announced as the Best Actor winner, he burst into celebration and started shouting with joy.

The camera then turned to Karthik’s parents, who hugged him and congratulated him on the achievement. In one moment of the clip, his mother kissed his cheeks as the family celebrated the victory.
Sharing the video, Kartik wrote, “Still processing… some moments are bigger than words and this is one of them. A dream I had for years has finally come true. Always humble, always grateful (folded hands emoji) National Award for Best Actor #ChanduChampion (folded hands emoji).”
The actor also shared it on his Instagram Stories with the line, “Dreams do come true.”
The 72nd National Film Awards were announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in New Delhi on Saturday evening. National Film Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role was given to Mammootty for the Malayalam film Brahmayugam And Kartik Aryan for Hindi film Chandu Champion.
The winners were selected by a national panel of jury members, and this year’s awards are for films certified by the Central Board of Film Certification in 2024.
