what did the court say
Earlier in the day, the Delhi High Court ordered that the estate of Sanjay Kapoor, who died in London in June 2025, be protected amid a dispute between his third wife Priya Sachdeva Kapoor and his children Kiaan and Samaira from his second marriage to Karisma. The businessman leaves behind assets worth around Rs 30,000 crore.
Kiaan and Samaira have alleged that Priya made a fake will in Sanjay’s name and made incomplete disclosure of his assets.
Karishma and Sanjay married in 2003. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2016. Later Sanjay married Priya, while Karishma remained in Mumbai.
After Sanjay’s death, his estate became the subject of a court battle. In August last year, Priya had presented a document before the Delhi High Court, claiming that it was her will. The document was challenged by Samaira, Kiaan and Karishma’s former mother-in-law Rani.
In August, Karisma sued Priya on behalf of her children, alleging that Priya had forged Sanjay’s will and deprived her two children of their inheritance.
