Kareena Kapoor Khan’s rich filmography includes films like Heroine which have become classics today. Bhandarkar revealed, “I had drawn many similarities and parallels from the lives of real-life actresses and depicted them in the film, but I faced a lot of criticism for the same.” Having said all that, he still doesn’t understand why the same people who appreciated films like Traffic Signal and Corporate had a problem with heroine.

While he admitted that he cannot be unfair to his audience, the producer revealed that Bebo still believes and says that Heroine has been one of his best performances as an actor. During the same conversation, the Chandni Bar operator revealed that he is talking to PVR to re-release some of his films, including Heroine.

“Kareena is very proud of this film,” he said, adding that she praises the entertainer wherever she goes. Even today, whenever they meet or talk, the Crew actress always cites it as one of her favorite films.

According to Madhur Bhandarkar, Khan played the character of Mahi brilliantly and she is indeed one of his favourites. Praising her, the filmmaker said that she is an amazing actress and he is happy that even today when he meets people who watched the film, they always say that Kareena stole the show with her aura and her performance in the last 25 minutes.
