Kareena Kapoor Khan’s mid-week Instagram post was a fun comment about how she is a mother who eats her kids’ leftovers. Mother to Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh, the actress often posts adorable pictures with and about her little ones.

The photo that Kareena Kapoor posted on Instagram on Wednesday featured a half-eaten pancake, strawberries and cream. She wrote, “I am that mother who eats her kids’ leftovers”, which indicates that she ate Taimur or Jeh’s leftovers.

Kareena Kapoor makes sure to spend enough time with her kids despite her busy schedule. She often takes Taimur and Jeh on vacations with husband Saif Ali Khan. However, there are times when ‘mom guilt’ takes over.

She spoke about it at ABP Network’s Ideas of India Summit and said, “Of course, I felt a lot of guilt that I couldn’t be at Jeh’s first concert but then I told myself that I know I will definitely be there when he performs next year. And it’s even more for me at this age. You know, because he’s three years old. It’s my guilt! It’s like I should be there for my own happiness so that I can see what he does because I don’t know if he’ll remember it or not. So I have to, you know, talk to myself, convince myself saying it’s okay.”

Elaborating further, the ‘Jaane Jaan’ actress revealed that both Saif and she try to balance their work and home life with their kids. She revealed that her elder son Taimur understands this dynamic and believes it is important for him to see both parents working and alternating their time at home.

Kareena said, “Being at work or being a working mother is something I cannot live without. Taimur understands that. I think it is a healthy environment for him when he sees that both his mother and his father go to work and they take turns to decide who will stay at home. It will give him a very balanced perspective growing up and learn to respect women.”
