Currently, a video is going viral on the internet in which Karan Johar is wearing a white sweatshirt with “Nepo Baby” written on it. In the clip, he can be seen exiting a popular eatery with Shah Rukh Khan’s entrepreneur wife, Gauri Khan and his B-town bestie, Malaika Arora. KJO’s outfit made headlines, with people suggesting that it was a deliberate move to troll those who have criticized him for promoting nepotism in Bollywood.

Earlier, popular filmmaker Guneet Monga, who has worked with Karan in projects like The Lunchbox, Kill and Gyarah Gyarah, had defended him against criticism on nepotism.
Speaking to News18, he said, “He works with many first-time directors and empowers them. They are giving opportunities to many new writers and actors. It is a huge organization which is making cinema and OTT projects and advising many people. It is very unfair to blame them for only working with a certain type of people.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan has several films lined up in 2024 like Yoddha, Ae Watan Mere Watan, Mr. & Mrs. Mahie, Bad News and Jigra. This year, his production house will support the upcoming romantic drama film, Dhadak 2. ,
For those unaware, it is the sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak and a remake of the Tamil film titled Pariyarum Perumal. Trupti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s film was earlier scheduled to release in theaters on November 22, 2024, but now it will release at a later date.
