Kanguva X review: A ‘brilliant’ Suriya in a ‘weak’ fantasy thriller
Suriya’s Kanguva impressed the audience with its visuals but struggled due to the weak script. Some X users praised the actor’s performance, while others criticized the lack of emotional connection.
Actor Suriya’s much-awaited fantasy action thriller Kanguva has finally arrived in theatres. Directed by Siva, the film had early morning shows in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, and the first reviews are already out on social media. However, initial reactions from audiences do not appear to be favourable.

Although the script of the film has not lived up to the expectations of the audience, actor Suriya has impressed everyone with his acting. Kanguva is a fantasy action-adventure film set in the medieval period. Suriya plays a tribal warrior, while Bobby Deol makes his Tamil debut as the main antagonist. Disha Patani has played the lead role. The film has been released in eight languages including Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, English, French and Spanish.
