Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently attended the special screening of the much-awaited film Emergency in Nagpur. It was hosted by actor-director Kangana Ranaut and veteran actor Anupam Kher. Sharing his experience, Gadkari encouraged everyone to watch political films.
Sharing his thoughts on social media after the screening, Nitin Gadkari praised the authenticity and performance of the film, saying, “Attended the special screening of the film Emergency with @KanganaTeam ji and Shri @AnupamPKher ji. I love the presentation. I wholeheartedly thank the filmmakers and actors for this.” A dark chapter in the history of our country with such excellence. Directed by Kangana herself, Emergency reflects the era when democracy was suspended in India, highlighting the high-stakes political drama of unchecked power and its impact on the fabric of the country.

Kangana plays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, while Anupam Kher plays Jayaprakash Narayan, a prominent political leader of that time. The story of the film has been brought to life by actors like Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and late Satish Kaushik in his last role.
Produced by Zee Studios, Manikarnika Films and Renu Pitti, Emergency is set to release on January 17, 2025. With music by Sanchit Balhara and GV Prakash Kumar and dialogues by Ritesh Shah, the film promises to be an entertaining political drama based on the defining events of the era.
