Kamal Haasan’s birthday note to Mani Ratnam is a love letter for his cinematic dream

Actor Kamal Haasan on Monday wished his ‘source of strength’, director Mani Ratnam on his birthday. The 70 -year -old shared a heartbreaking note on X, which had a picture of him and Ratnam, which mentioned his journey from ‘Nayakan’ to ‘Thug Life’.
He said, “Happy birthday, Mani Ratnam. From Nayakan to Thug Jeevan, we have traveled together through time-the cooperations, family, co-owners and above, as a lifelong students of cinema,” he wrote in the caption of his post.
Haasan, who is proud to be a student of cinema with Ratnam, said, “Through every chapter, your presence has been a source of strength – a mind that I turn into moments of doubt, and a soul is seen deeply from the language of the film like some other (SIC).”
He then wished a more cinematic miracle for the director. “Your stories can put forward, with every frame, your vision brings depth, beauty and meaning to cinema (SIC),” he concluded, “forever signing your friend, Kamal Haasan.”

Actor Ravi Mohan, who worked with Ratnam in the film series ‘Poniyin Selvan’, also shared a note on X for him. He posted a back picture from the film set, and wrote, “Wish you a very happy Indian cinema, #Maniratnam sir.
