Kamal Haasan says that Kannada takes out of Tamil comment
Kamal Haasan has addressed a letter to the chairman of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce in the ongoing language line. In his statement, he has said that his words have been excluded from the context.

In a letter addressed to Narasimalu, president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Kamal Haasan has said that his statement has been misunderstood and excluded from the context.
Here his statement is:
I accept your letter on 30/05/2025. With deep respect for the people of Karnataka, I provide the following with honesty.
It bothers me that my statement at the thugs life audio launch- the famous Dr. The prince’s family is spoken with real affection, especially the Shiva Rajkumar – is misunderstood and excluded from the context. The purpose of my words was to tell that we are all from one and the same family and do not reduce Kannada in any way. There is no dispute or debate on the rich heritage of Kannada language. Like Tamil, Kannada has a glorious literary and cultural tradition, which I have been praised for a long time.
During my career, I have nurtured the warmth and affection extended to me by the Kannada-moving community, and I say it with a clear discretion and firm belief: my love for the language is real, and I am very respected for love
That Kannadigus is for its mother tongue. My bond with Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and all languages of this land
He is hatred and hearty. I always stand for the same dignity of all Indian languages and remain against the dominance of any one language, as such imbalance weakens the linguistic fabric of the Union of India.
I know and speak the language of cinema. Cinema is a universal language that only knows love and relationship. My statement was only to establish that bond and unity among all of us. This is love and bond that my superiors taught me what I wanted to share. It is out of this love and bondage that Shivna participated in the audio launch event. I really regret that Shivna had to go through such embarrassment on it. But I am sure that our true love and respect for each other will always remain and will become strong now.
Cinema should remain a bridge among the people. – Sometimes a wall that divides them. This was the intention of my statement and I was never and I never want to give any place for public disturbance and enmity.
I sincerely hope that my words will be found in the soul they intended, and that my permanent affection for Karnataka, its people and their language is recognized in its real light. I honestly believe that this misunderstanding is temporary and one is one
