Kamal Haasan’s thug life, directed by mythological Mani Ratnam, is fully prepared to hit theaters on 5 June 2025, and has started coming into advance booking numbers for the Hindi version. By 12 noon on June 3, 2025, the film has sold 625 tickets for its inauguration day such as Pavrinox and Sinpolis. Pvrinox is an account for 425 tickets, while Cinepolis has seen 200 tickets for the Hindi version.
The speed of booking in Hindi is slower than expected, with estimates that the film can suggest just Rs 1 crore in its early day in the Hindi belt. Although this is modest for a film on this scale, a change is still expected, especially if the word of the mouth is strong.
Unlike Tamil blockbusters such as Leo and Jailor, who left top chains due to disagreement on the dramatic-to-digital window of 8-week, thugs life has achieved a detailed release in major multiplexes such as Pvrinox and Cineepolis. This ensures that the film reaches its target audience, acting on June 6, acting, despite a confrontation with Bollywood’s big comedy-signs film Housefull 5, fans of gritty crime thrilpers.
While Housefull 5 is the first choice for Hindi audience, who is looking for a laughing riot, thugs are enough screens to attract audiences in life that prefer acute, action-packed plays. Star-staded cast including Silambarsanth, Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya Lakesmi, along with AR Rahman’s music, add to their appeal.
In Tamil Nadu, east-selling is civilized, in which advance booking is Rs 4 crore, which is aligned with recent Tamil mid-saves like retro and Amarran at the same level. The number has not reached the heights of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram. The global opening of the film is estimated to be slightly below Indian 2, but with a positive word of the mouth, the thug life can comfortably cross the collection of Indian 2 in a long time.
Slow Hindi Booking may be caused by a conflict with Housefull 5 and the top appeal of a gritty gangster saga in a market, leaning towards the entertainers on a large scale.
With its release in many Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada, the thug life is ready for a detailed access. It is important in providing a compelling cinematic experience to convert its decent pre-bounds into a box-office success.
Will the thugs live for life propagation and end its competition? We will know that in just 2 days. How excited are you for the thug life? Have you booked your tickets for the film so far?
