Talking about the challenges of making high-concept films, the filmmaker, he revealed that he wrote a story similar to ‘Inception’ and also expressed his love for classic films like ‘Khaleja’.
Speaking at the event, Kalki 2898 advertising director Nag Ashwin said while talking about the idea generation and writing, “This happens to everyone. We have written something, and a few months later, someone makes a film with a similar concept. I wrote something like ‘Inspference’ in 2008, but I had a lot of ‘Insection’ and my idea was ahead.” It is better that you cannot control, so it is better to stop chasing it. It is more important to be authentic than the original. “
The director was also asked whether there was a film that he wanted to be directed. He said that he did not want to direct it, but always felt that it would be good to be an editor. He said that referring to his pics to edit, he said, “Khaleja” will be exciting. This is a film that I love. Maybe also ‘Dear Comrade’, “he said.
Trivikram’s ‘Khaleja’, in which Mahesh Babu and Anushka Shetty acted, did not perform well on the release, but now a cult has been widely appreciated for becoming classic. Similarly, ‘Dear Comrade’ starring Vijay Devarakonda became fan-Fawrite despite his mixed box office performance.

Meanwhile, there is a strong discussion about a potential female-laid project with Alia Bhatt, although an official confirmation is still waiting. With several undertakings in works, Ashwin has carried forward creative boundaries and experimented with fresh narratives in Indian cinema.
