Actress Kalki Koechlin opened up about the challenges she faced after her divorce from filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, despite enjoying a thriving career at the time. speaking on After Hours with All About Eve YouTube channel, Kalki shared how her personal life is a complete contrast to her professional success.
She said, “After Anurag and I divorced, I had two big films – Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Things were going very well professionally. But then the divorce happened.”
Kalki revealed that during this period, she struggled to find a place to live in Mumbai. “Nobody would rent me a house. I said, ‘I’m famous; you want to take selfies with me, but you don’t want to give me a house,'” he said.
Kalki and Anurag Kashyap met in 2008 on the sets of Dev D, his debut film. The two soon started dating and got married in 2011. It had been four years since their marriage. They later separated, with the divorce finalized in 2015. Kalki has since kept her personal life largely private, sharing details only occasionally.
In 2019, the actress announced her pregnancy with her partner, Israeli musician Guy Hershberg. The couple welcomed their daughter in February 2020.
