Anticipation for Wicked is high among the audiences as the musical film features a stellar cast including Jonathan Bailey, who also sings in the venture. The actor revealed about his training and singing with talented musicians, who also happen to be his co-stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Ervio.

According to ComicBook, Bailey, who plays Fierro Tigelaar in the film, was anxious to sing the songs featured in the film in front of Grande and Ervio. The actor spoke to the publication and mentioned that he was completely “isolated” but also worked extremely hard to achieve that perfection while working with the lyricists.

“I would say I am completely isolated,” he told the outlet. I vaguely remember bits of my toupee in the foreground and John Chu walking like that (thumbs up) in the background.

The Bridgerton star continued that they worked really hard, knowing that Grande and Ervio, two of our best singers, were going to be there. Bayley talked about going for the “gold” and it was incredible.

She noted in the publication the new look came from “the G-force of the sheer power of her vocal prowess”. He talked about his training with Eric Vitro, who taught him the song over Zoom.

The two actually met in person two months after it ended. He described it as one of many incredible collaborations. He said Vitro was “sweet”. Bailey continued, “And I’d go back to my trailer and he, you know… control the volume.”

However, as much as the musical venture is in the news for its visuals, talented cast and behind-the-scenes dynamics, it is also garnering attention for some memorable and significant moments during the promotion of the film.

Many people know about the deep bond that formed between Grande and Ervio during filming, this is greatly reflected when they are on the red carpet or during interviews together.

Another major moment was seen when Grande was reportedly seen helping her co-star and boyfriend, Ethan Slater, adjust his bow tie during the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on November 9.

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he opened up about them. The Thank U, Next singer expressed that Slater was always “charming” and added that he was incredible in the film. He called him a “wonderful person”. The We Can’t Be Friends hitmaker expressed satisfaction that people are getting to know Slater and that his heart is “happy.”

The upcoming venture also stars Jeff Bloom, Michelle Yeoh, Peter Dinklage, Bowen Yang, and many more. This film will be released on 22 November 2024.
