On John Abraham’s birthday, we took a trip down memory lane when Shah Rukh Khan praised his ‘Pathan’ co-star. In a clip posted on Yash Raj Films’ YouTube account, King Khan talked about his experience of working with the birthday boy. The megastar said that it was a pleasure working with John and added that “he is a gentleman.”
Elaborating about it, the young actor revealed that when they were shooting action sequences in ‘Pathan’, John called Shahrukh a ‘national treasure’ and told him that he would not hurt him. “He is very shy” Shahrukh revealed that he had to try a lot of convincing. He told Jism’s debutante to punch him and not get hurt. The king of romance described Abraham as skilled in action, saying, “You know, with body language, he really helped me look good.”
Further in the video, Khan called John very kind and admitted that when one is making a film with a co-star like John, one gets to learn a lot from him. Even though he is a star himself, he has a lot of respect for the senior actor. Khan also said that he was very keen to work with John and that he was kind enough to play a negative character in the action film.
The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor said that John is a top star and has done really great action films. Therefore, playing the role of a bad cop in a film requires a lot of courage when most actors refuse to play villains in films. Therefore, it requires a lot of confidence in oneself, which is why Shahrukh developed a deep respect for the birthday boy.
