John Abraham on Jingoism, and how diplomatic ‘does not show Pakistanis as evil’
Actor-producer John Abraham opens about his upcoming film, The Diplomat, Jingoism in movies and today a special conversation with India.

Actor and producer John Abraham, who plays Indian diplomat JP Singh in the upcoming political drama, The Diplomat, today opened up about the experience of giving employment to films and jingoism in films during a special conversation with India.
Talking to Gaurav Sawant of The India Today Group, the actor said, “I spent a lot of time to study JP Singh from where he and his body language. He is a very difficult boy, but he is always smiling. He is quite protected and also knows how to bypass an answer.”
Abraham also said how the producers did not want to portray Pakistanis as a “bad man” in the film.

“Author Ritesh Shah and my director Shivam Nair, who have not portrayed Pakistanis as evil. They are just people, and people can be both good and bad. To show yourself better, you don’t have to show someone else as bad. We have shown both good and bad of that country. We have shown everything.
During the interview, Abraham also opened about his next project, which is also a political film Tehran. The actor shared that the film revolves around a real-life phenomenon when an Israeli diplomat’s life was attempted in New Delhi.
Apart from John Abraham, the diplomat has a powerful attire, including Sadia Khetab, Sharib Hashmi, Revathi and Kumud Mishra. It is released in theaters on March 14.
