Jill Jacobson, actress from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Who’s the Boss? He passed away recently at the age of 70. The star died on Sunday, December 8, “after a long illness,” according to Dan Harry, a friend of the actor who is also a publicist.
According to Deadline, Harry also mentioned that Jill Jacobson died at Culver West Health Center in Culver City, California.
“Beautiful, energetic and positive to the end, she will be deeply missed by many relatives, friends and her beloved dogs, Benny and Kowalski,” a statement from Jacobson’s family said.
Jill Jacobson previously received the award for her work as a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society. Earlier this year, the Position of Nurse Sherry actress revealed that she had overcome the battle she had been battling for the past two and a half years.
For those who don’t know, Jill Jacobson spent her time fighting esophageal cancer, which she said “kept me out of the game for a while.”
Speaking to Jim Masters, the Instinct to Kill actress mentioned that her time battling cancer was “very hard”, recalling how she couldn’t work and said she was grateful and only loved her She wanted to move forward by helping the people around her.
Remembering the legendary actress, her co-star in The New Gadget, who is also her lifelong friend, Carine Richman shared a statement, calling Jacobson a brilliant actor with great comic timing.
Richman also appreciated Jacobson’s enthusiasm and the way she loved life, making her time together enjoyable.
Apart from being a part of the Star Trek movie and other movies, Jacobson also did TV shows like Days of Our Lives, Falcon Crest, Quantum Leap, Murphy Brown, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and more.
The actress graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Radio-TV-Film/Performance. Jill Jacobson was also known as a stand-up comedian.
