“I have the basic team, an assistant for my hair and another for make-up. Apart from that, there is no one on the set with me. If there are certain requirements for the costumes, only then I have another member. Here Even I find it weird how there are 10-15 people around on the set, I can never do that,” the actor told us.

He also shared how an Indian actor shooting an ad with Gerard Butler is a popular story in the industry. And while the Hollywood actor was accompanied by only two people, the Indian star took 10 staff with him, leading to whispers during the shoot.

Javed Jaaferi further added, “Sometimes, I think it goes too far. With due respect to everyone, I think it’s more a case of the kettle being hot than the tea. It’s only going to hurt them more. Delivers.” And their reputation.”

Recalling the time when he entered the industry, the actor said, “In the 80s, we used to call it ice box syndrome because people would carry fancy ice boxes for bragging rights. They would also carry silverware Also, even though Spot Boy was more than 20 years older than him, he was often addressed as ‘Beta’, a way of showing an attitude which, I think, was very ridiculous today.’ ‘

Talking about the new generation of actors, Javed Jaffrey said that they have to stay on their toes as there is a lot of competition. With the advent of so many mediums, they need to be able to capture the attention of the audience. “I also tell my son (Meezaan Jaffrey) that you have to keep watching actors and learn from them. He is someone who doesn’t even go out to his van after his shot. Instead he stays around and understands. That’s how things work. Today’s generation needs to be more involved to stand out.”

Jaaved Jaaferi was last seen in Amazon MX Player’s Mohra.
