Venkat K Narayan, Producer Jan Naygan Under KVN Productions, shared a video and commented for the first time on the ongoing controversy involving the censor board and court proceedings related to Thalapathy Vijay’s film. In response to the ongoing speculation regarding the film’s approval and release, Narayan addressed the situation by sharing his perspective on the matter.

He said, “The film was submitted to the CBFC on December 18, 2025, which was seen by the screening committee. On December 22, 2025, we received an email stating that the film would be given a UA 16+ certificate subject to certain changes. We incorporated the suggested changes and resubmitted the film.”

He further added, “A few days before our planned release, on January 5, 2026, we were informed that the film had been sent to the Revision Committee based on a complaint. With time running out to contact the Revision Committee and without knowing who the complainant was, we approached the Honorable High Court.”

He also apologized to fans, distributors and exhibitors who had placed high hopes Jan Naygan’s Issuing that the delay was completely out of their control.
