Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jana Nayagan is set to hit a big screen on 9 January 2026. The film marks its 69th project and is estimated for his last time before stepping into politics. As an expectation is formed, the report now states that the film has landed on a large -scale OTT deal.
According to Otplay, Jana Nayagan has sold his subsequent truth streaming rights to Amazon Prime Video. Reported amount? A shocking 121 crore rupees. The deal comes despite a common recession in India’s streaming market.
The Hindi version of the film will follow a slightly different release plan. According to reports, it will start streaming only after completing an eight -week theater run. The Hindi-dubbed version will also be widely released in Hindi-speaking areas. Both single-screen cinemas and multiplexes are expected to perform the film, allowing Vijay to be grand.
While the official confirmation of the streaming platform is yet to be released, the numbers speak volume. The deal is reportedly reacted on the huge reach of Vijay and on the fanfast basis in the areas.
H. Directed by Vinith, Jana Nayagan is a political action drama. The army’s background is rumored, combining with the tone seen in Vijay’s recent films. Pooja Hegde played the role of a female lead. Bobby Deol will appear as the main opponent. The artists also include Mamita Baiju, and Narayan.
Anirudh Ravichandar is composing music. It marks his fifth cooperation with Vijay after giving several hit albums in the past.
