Raghav Lawrence starrer Kanchana film series is one of the most successful franchisees in Tamil cinema, with four films to be released till date. Now, as the 5th installment is in work, reports indicate that Rashmika Mandanna may be in an important role in the film. However, there is no official word about the same.
Is Rashmika Playing ghost in Mandanna Kanchana 4?
According to a report by News18, Reshmika Mandanna has been planted to play an important role in Kanchana 4. Raghav Lawrence starrer hopes that Pushpa actress depicts the role of a ghost. However, the makers of the Horror Comedy Film Series have not yet been provided an official update.
If the report comes true, it will be the first supernatural character of the Rashima in South Indian cinema.
Talking about the film, Kanchana 4 will allegedly present actresses Pooja Hegde and Nora Fatehi as co-stars with Raghav Lawrence. Directed by the actor, Muni (2007), Kanchan (2011), Kanchana 2 (2015), and Kanchan 3 (2019) mark the fifth installment in the series.
While the film is allegedly under production, an official release date has not yet been announced by the manufacturers.
Rushmika Mandanna’s upcoming movies
Rashmika Mandanna was recently seen as co-Leide, Nagarjuna Akini starrer Kubera in Dhanush. The crime drama played by Sekhar Kammula tells the story of a beggar who is inadvertently in a business tycoon scam.
Looking forward, the actress will play the lead role in the romantic horror comedy Thama. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the Hindi language film Madock Horror Comedy is the 5th installment in the universe, in which Ayushman Khurrana plays the co-Leide. The film revolves around the subject of vampires.
Mandanna is also waiting for his film, The Girlfriend.
Raghav Lawrence’s next film
Apart from Kanchana 4, Raghav Lawrence is currently filming for the film Benz. The upcoming Vigilant Action thriller Lokesh is part of the Kanagaraja Cinematic Universe (LCU), which marks the 4th installment in the series after Kithi, Vikram and Leo.
Recently, it was reported that Ravi Mohan would join the cinematic universe, in which Nivin Ponel donated the incarnation of the chief opponent, portraying dual roles.
