Kartik Aryan and Karan Johar gave the audience a Christmas gift as they announced their collaboration on a romantic comedy titled Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Now it has been revealed that Kartik, who recently gave a big hit with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, has charged a whopping amount of Rs 50 crore for KJO’s film. It is being told that the budget of the film is Rs 150 crore.
According to a recent report by Zoom, Kartik Aryan is going to be paid Rs 50 crore for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The portal’s source said that the actor’s market value has increased significantly after Chandu Champion and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Meanwhile, Bollywood Hungama has shared that the rom-com is a very ambitious project and is being made on a budget of Rs 150 crore.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri was officially announced on 25 December 2024 with a fun video. In the clip, Kartik’s character Ray reveals how his three ex-girlfriends were upset after their breakups. He said that he will ensure that this does not happen to the fourth girl and will do everything to prevent their separation.
Expressing his excitement in the caption, Kartik said, “Tumhari re aa rahi hai Rumi. This momma’s boy keeps his oath to his mother! (Coming to you Rumi. This mother’s son always keeps the oath taken by his mother). So excited to return to my favorite genre of rom-com #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri… The biggest love story coming to theaters in 2026.”
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is directed by Sameer Vidwans, who has previously worked with Kartik Aaryan in Satyaprem Ki Katha. Presented by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Adaar Poonawala, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishore Arora. It will hit theaters in 2026.
Kartik Aryan and Karan Johar were earlier supposed to team up for Dostana 2, but the collaboration did not happen. In 2023, the duo announced that they will be uniting for an untitled patriotic war film directed by Sandeep Modi. There are no updates on the project yet, but it was initially scheduled for release in 2025.
