iQOO is all set to launch its first smartphone in India this year with the iQOO Neo 10R. Adding an ‘R’ variant to its popular Neo series for the first time, the company sticks to its formula of delivering performance-focused devices at competitive prices. The teasers shared by iQOO give us a good idea of what to expect, including details about the phone’s processor and design.
According to the Amazon teaser for the iQOO Neo 10R, the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Launched in March last year, this 4nm chipset from TSMC is equipped with Cortex-X4 prime cores clocked at 3GHz. This is the same processor that also powers smartphones like last year’s Realme GT 6 and Xiaomi 14 Civi – which are priced between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000.
The design of the iQOO Neo 10R takes inspiration from the Z9 Turbo Endurance Edition (from the Chinese market), which features a circular-shaped camera island on the back. However, the Neo 10R adds its own flair with a dual-tone design. The blue variant teased by iQOO features a white pattern on the left side of the rear panel with the words “Neo Power to Win” engraved on it. The flat edges with chamfered edges give the phone a premium, modern look.
The iQOO Neo 10R is expected to launch in February, as indicated by a tweet from iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya. The teaser also suggests that the phone will fall under the Rs 30,000 price bracket, making it a competitive option in the midrange market.
In terms of specifications, the phone is rumored to have a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also said to have a massive 6,400mAh battery, which can easily last a whole day even with heavy usage. The phone may run Android 15 based Funtouch OS out of the box and come in configurations with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The camera setup on the rear of the iQOO Neo 10R may include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor capable of 4K 60fps video recording, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. There is expected to be a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies.
The iQOO Neo 10R will likely be available on Amazon and possibly other online platforms. With the launch of iQOO 13, the company announced its entry into the offline smartphone market. Stay tuned for more updates as the launch date approaches.
