iQOO 15R has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 44,999. This is for the variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The price of the variant with 12GB RAM is Rs 47,999 and the top variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs 52,999. As part of the launch offer, there are some discounts available from some banks. If you are an HDFC card holder then the effective discount is Rs 4000, taking the starting price of the phone to Rs 41,999 if you select that option.

At a time when we’re seeing a sharp rise in phone prices – blame the lack of RAM and component prices – the iQOO 15R is priced extremely reasonably. This is because once you look at its specs, it seems quite loaded.

The phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This is a top tier processor. It also has a large 7600 mAh battery, which supports 100W fast charging. Compatible charger is bundled with the phone.

The iQOO 15R’s screen measures 6.6 inches diagonally. It uses an AMOLED panel, has a resolution of 2750 by 1260 pixels and uses a refresh rate of 144Hz. There are two cameras on the back of the phone: a 50-megapixel main camera, powered by a Sony LYT700V sensor, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It has a 32 megapixel camera in the front. The phone is available in two colours, Dark Knight (black) and Triumph Silver (a shade of light blue).

Despite its last battery and large screen, the iQOO 15R is a quite handsome phone with a thickness of 7.9 mm. It also weighs around 202 grams, which is light for a phone with this big battery. The phone also supports IP68 and IP69 ratings, keeping it relatively safe from water and dust.

Apart from the key specifications, the iQOO 15R has almost all the bells and whistles we expect from a phone under Rs 50,000. It uses UFS 4.1 for its storage connectivity, which will help in using the phone faster and faster. It also has a cryogenic cooling engine, which is expected to keep the device cool while gaming. We’ll be taking a closer look at the phone in the coming days. Stay tuned.
