A 28-year-old Indian man lost his life after falling 30 feet in a skydiving accident in Massachusetts. Mani Chandra Teja Gaddam was immediately taken to Athol Hospital by Jumptown Skydiving and was later declared dead. Jumptown Skydiving said they were cooperating with police in the investigation of the accident, which they said was caused by a “sudden and unexpected” weather event.“We are deeply saddened by the incident that occurred at our facility and we offer our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the skydiver involved,” the statement said.“It appears that a sudden and unexpected weather event caused this incident, and we are cooperating fully with the appropriate authorities as they conduct a thorough review. “Out of respect for the investigative process and those affected, we will have no further comment while the review continues,” it said. “The safety of our customers, employees and fellow skydivers remains our top priority.”Mani’s family said he recently earned his A license in skydiving and is excited to continue pursuing his favorite sport.“Chandra was an exceptionally talented, kind and hardworking young man with a passion for learning and accepting new challenges. His family made countless sacrifices throughout his life, moving from Vijayawada to Hyderabad to support his education and investing their savings to help him achieve his dreams. Through his dedication and their unwavering support, he graduated from Northeastern University, MA and recently began his professional career,” the family said at a fundraiser. Said.The family said, “Along with his academic and professional accomplishments, Mani believed in pursuing his passions and making the most of every opportunity. He recently earned his **A License** in skydiving and was excited to continue exploring the sport he loved and the adventures that lay ahead.”This latest incident comes less than a year after the October 2025 death of Robert Szabo, 62, of Connecticut. Szabo died three days after being injured in a mid-air collision with another experienced skydiver at Jumptown Skydiving.
