India has criticized Elon Musk’s X for incorrectly labeled as “censorship portal” as an official website, allowing technical companies to inform about harmful online content, by court papers reviewed by court papers Roots Shown on Friday. The lawsuit marks an increase in a legal dispute between the X and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government how it orders to take the material down, at a time when Musk is near its other major undertakings, Starlink and Tesla’s launch in India.

These comments came to a winner for the new case of X filed in the southern state of Karnataka on 5 March, seeking to reduce the government’s website initiative. The Ministry of Information Technology said in the court, “The use of the said terminology by a portal worldwide is unfortunate and condemnable.” The Ministry, whose statement is not public in court on March 27, did not respond to a Reuters’ request for immediate comments.

Modi’s government says that the aim of the new website was only to inform technical companies of their proper hard work and no blocked orders were issued. The X says that India illegally expanded its sensorship powers to allow online material to remove online materials, which gives the “countless” government officials to execute such orders through the website described as “censorship portal”.
