Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has reacted to his daughter Ida Ali’s engagement with long-time boyfriend Krish Aggarwal, calling it the “biggest happiness” of his life. The couple recently got engaged after Kris planned a beautiful proposal amidst the beautiful landscapes of Norway.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Imtiaz said that Krish followed tradition and took his blessings before proposing. “This is the greatest happiness for me,” the filmmaker said. She further added, “Krish had talked to me before proposing to Ida.”

The proposal took place on July 1, when Kris got down on one knee and asked Ida to marry him against the stunning backdrop of Norway. On Sunday, the 25-year-old aspiring filmmaker shared a video of the intimate moment on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of the memorable proposal.
Ida also shared some details about her fiancé, revealing that Kris, 24, works as a quantitative researcher at a hedge fund. The pair were in a relationship for a long time before taking the next step together.
As the congratulatory messages continue to pour in, the focus has naturally turned to the couple’s wedding plans. However, Imtiaz Ali says there is no rush and he wants Ida and Krish to just enjoy this special phase of their lives.
“I won’t interfere and let them enjoy their moment,” the filmmaker said.
Echoing her father’s sentiments, Ida reveals that the couple is in no rush to get married. He shared, “No wedding plans right now! We’re just enjoying the moment, like my father said.”
