Amaran director Rajkumar Periyasamy recently met actor-turned-politician Vijay, who congratulated him on the success of his film. Rajkumar shared two pictures of himself with Thalapathy Vijay, one from their recent meeting and the other taken twelve years ago while working as an assistant director on Vijay-starrer Kaththi. He wrote an emotional caption highlighting his fanboy moment.

The post shared on X was captioned, “I love you Vijay sir! Thank you! I pray for you every day! God bless you! (sic)”. The caption echoes director Amaran’s admiration for the Tamil cinema superstar, although Rajkumar did not provide any details about what happened during his meeting with Vijay.

Amaranth, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in ​​the lead roles, was released in theaters on October 31, 2024. Major Mukund Varadarajan’s biopic is running successfully in theaters even after four weeks of its release.
