Set to Diljit’s evocative vocals, the teaser offers a glimpse of a story that feels both intimate and sweeping, the story of a boy and a girl, but also of a country.

Talking about the teaser, Imtiaz Ali said, “Can love really be lost? Can one’s heart have a home snatched away? The greatest story of the century is one of migration. I feel blessed to have got the chance to tell such a story on celluloid. This tale of imagination is almost entirely drawn from the stories of people during Partition. The past is always present. And decades later, when all the incidents of mourning have been talked about, what remains is love.” There’s an early feeling that was too personal to share.”
