Twenty One director Sriram Raghavan recently commented on the success of stalwartAditya Dhar’s film has emerged as the biggest Indian film of the year – commercially and critically – but Raghavan said he would not make such a film,

The director further recalled sharing his National Award andhadhun (2018) with torrent Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019). Raghavan praised Dhar’s storytelling style and said, “He has a different kind of sensibility and craft, and I love watching his films, but it’s not something I would make.”

Raghavan’s latest movie, twenty-oneTells the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, who were martyred during the India-Pakistan war Of 1971. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest gallantry award. Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia are debuting in the film. The cast also includes Rahul Dev and Jaideep Ahlawat with the late Dharmendra in his last big screen appearance.

Raghavan’s last film, Merry Christmas, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, was described as a love story, showcasing his ability to blend genres and keep the audience engaged.
