The actor has shared a picture from his latest photoshoot. In the monochrome frame, Kartik is seen in a bare-chested avatar. His well-defined six-pack abs, cut shoulders and well-defined biceps were on display. The shoot was for the cover of GQ magazine. When you have such a great physique, who wouldn’t want to flaunt their killer six-pack abs. So we can understand why Kartik would go shirtless for the magazine cover.

Although “six-pack abs” is very idealistic, many fitness enthusiasts strive for it. Like Kartik Aaryan, if you too want to get washboard six-pack abs, here are some core exercises you can include in your daily workout routine.

5 core exercises for six pack abs like Kartik Aaryan

1. Crunches

It helps to focus on belly fat. The targeted area is the rectus abdominis muscle and works on tightening the abdomen.

2. Planks

The plank is an isometric workout that strengthens the core by holding you in a position just above the floor, like a push-up. To plank, you can place a 5kg weight plate on your back.

3. Sit-ups

Sit-ups are exercises that improve abdominal endurance and strengthen the abdominal muscles as well as strengthen the core. They employ additional muscles and provide a wider range of motion than crunches.

4. Russian Twist

Russian twists are a basic ab workout that targets the hips, shoulders and core of the body. To tone the core muscles, they should preferably be done in sets and repeated, with the twisting motion focused around the abdominal area.

5. Farmers' march

The farmer's walk is a strength and conditioning exercise that focuses on the abdominals and helps stabilize the hips and torso. It is also sometimes referred to as the farmer's carry.
