Hugh Jackman recently opened up about following a tough diet plan to get a muscular superhero body on the silver screen.

Hugh followed a “6,000 calorie” diet to play Wolverine
Nobody can play Wolverine Better than this and we saw this in the hit movie Deadpool and Wolverine. But we didn’t know what challenges were there behind the scenes in playing this character. WolverineThe actor revealed how he had to strictly follow a diet and fitness regime to get a Wolverine-like body. In an exclusive conversation with Jimmy Fallon The Tonight Show with Jimmy FallonThe actor explained how he took in “6000 calories”. Jimmy joked about how Hugh must have boiled or steamed stones to get the hard body. He also questioned if he had to eat boiled or steamed vegetables for the role, to which Hugh said, “It’s 6000 calories, and that’s not the calories you need. You can get 6,000 calories. Like half a pizza is 6,000 calories. But no, it’s chicken and it has tilapia and beans.” He added, “I don’t know why tilapia, it has to be some fish that’s lean and has green beans.” Jimmy further wondered how Hugh continued his diet for so long, to which the star replied, “It’s worth it.”

The actor also shared a funny incident which he said he had never told anyone before. He said, “I haven’t told anyone this before, but we had a trike in the middle. And at the beginning of shooting, there was a particular scene where I really wanted to focus on how I looked. And Sean said where do you want to do that scene? And I said let’s just do it at the end.” He then explained how he felt he had to continue the diet for the next few months.
Well, hard work really does pay off, and Hugh Jackman’s well-sculpted body is proof of that.
