The box office has been seeing an uptick since the introduction of Discount Day on Tuesdays last year, but Dhurandhar has not opted for any discounts yet and yet the business is going so strongly.
This gives Dhurandhar another daily record for Hindi films, and it’s not even close as it has broken the previous record of Rs. Chhawa grossed Rs 17.50 crore, with a margin of 65 percent. In that case, when the overall Indian box office records are considered, Dhurandhaar is second only to Baahubali: The Conclusion, which collected Rs. 39.25 crores in all languages. With the pace at which it is going, it may start breaking the records of Baahubali 2 in the coming days.
The total box office collection of Dhurandhar is Rs. Rupee. Including approximately Rs 389 crore. 193 crores in the first five days of the second week. The second week is already a record for Hindi films, crossing Rs 1 crore. Pushpa 2 (Hindi)’s Rs. 178 crores, and still two days left. The whole week is on the way to collect money. 240 crore nett or so.
Dhurandhar was already on its way to becoming the first original Hindi film to cross Rs.1 crore. 600 crore nett, and now, the chances of collecting Rs. Net of Rs 700 crore also. Then of course, Rs. Pushpa 2 (Hindi) has become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time with its earning of Rs 738 crore. Even on Sunday it seemed impossible, but not now. A lot will depend on how it performs this coming Friday when it faces competition from Avatar 3.
