HMD unveiled some new devices in MWC 2025. The main of these is probably Fusion X1. It is a very modest phone specs-wise, but the HMD explora wants to sweeten the deal by offering ancestral control platform.
Since we are already on the subject, XPLERA is a payment, membership-based service that runs on a teenager’s phone and can send alerts for various events, location tracking and history, controlled contact, app approval and remote screen time management. It sounds like a good and full suite for the control of the parents, although we do not know how much it costs.
HMD Fusion X1
For the new fusion X1, it measures 164 x 75.5 x 32 mm, weighs 202 grams and is mostly made of plastic. It has a Snapdragon 4 gen 2 chipset 6/128 GB or 8/256 GB memory configuration and microSD with expandable storage (a hybrid slot that either takes two nano-sIMs or a SIM and a microSD). The diagonal performs 6.56 inches of performance measures, 720 x 1612 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. As far as we can tell, it is an LCD with a distinctive advertised glow of 480 NITs and 600-NITS boost mode.
HMD Fusion X1
The 5,000 mAh battery is on board with the support of 33W fast charging. The board and NFC have a 3.5 mm audio jack. The camera department has a 108MP main snapper and a depth of 2MP at the back. On the front, there is a 50MP fixed-focus unit. The phone booted Android 14 with a promise of two major OS updates and three -year security patch.
As its name suggests, the fusion X1 provides support for the fusion accessory platform of HMD. It basically consists of six smart pins behind the phone, which provides expandableness. You can easily buy things like ring light, gaming controller or additional battery so that the said pin can be attached.
HMD Barca Fusion
Barca fusion seems to be a special version of the fusion X1 as it shares its glasses and design.

HMD combined a special FC Barcelona case with a player signature that shines under UV Lite. There is also a slightly more adaptation – a collection of scenes, the themed sounds and greetings from the players. Some FC Barcelona apps have been pre-loaded.
