Hema Malini remembers Dharmendra’s last advice; Sunny calls Bobby a wonderful boy
Hema Malini shared the last advice given by Dharmendra to the family before his death, saying that he wanted them to always remain united. He also talked openly about his close relationship with Sunny and Bobby Deol, dismissing rumors of rift in the family.

Veteran actress Hema Malini has shared an emotional memory of her late husband Dharmendra, recalling the advice he gave to the family before his death. In a recent interview, he talked about his emphasis on family unity and also talked about his relationships with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.

Reflecting on her relationship with Sunny and Bobby, she described both the actors fondly and said that the family shares a close bond away from the public eye.
The 77-year-old actor said, “Bobby and Sunny are amazing boys. Sunny is very nice and Bobby is very nice. We are always together. Promotion We don’t do it. we have a connection with each other (We are always together. We do not want publicity. We share a strong bond with each other). We are a very happy family.”
Hema said that Dharmendra himself never likes to discuss personal matters publicly.
Dharmendra and Hema Malini met while working together in films in the late 1960s and later became one of the most famous on-screen couples of Hindi cinema. They were seen together in hit films like Sholay, Sita Aur Geeta, Dream Girl And The Burning TrainAnd their business partnership eventually turned into a real-life romance.
At the time, Dharmendra was already married to Prakash Kaur and had four children, including actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Despite initial opposition from Hema’s parents, the couple got married in 1980. Dharmendra remained married to his first wife also. Hema and Dharmendra later had two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
The legendary actor died at the age of 89 on November 24 after recovering at home from a major health crisis in early November 2025. He died at his Juhu home and was cremated along with his family members at the Pawan Hans crematorium.
Many prominent film personalities including Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan attended the funeral and paid tribute.
In the weeks that followed, separate prayer meetings were held by Sunny Deol and Hema Malini, leading to speculation of tension within the family. Hema later rubbished those rumors and Esha Deol was also seen supporting Sunny during the release of his film border 2Indicating that the family remained united.
