Actor Simon Fisher-Baker, known for his roles in Harry Potter and Doctor Hu, died at the age of 63. His agent, Kim Barry of Jaffrey Management confirmed the news on Sunday. Fisher-Baikar’s husband, Tony also announced his death in a Facebook post.
“Hello to all. This is Tony, Simon’s husband,” she wrote. “I have some sad news. Simon died at 2:50 pm today.” He said that he would keep Fisher-Beker’s social media account open for that time.
Fisher-Baker was known for playing fat ascetic in Harry Potter and The Philosopher Stone (magician’s stone title in the US). His character was The Ghost of Haflepaf House in the first film of the popular franchise.
He had a recurring role as a Dorium Moldovar in Doctor Hu, a black market dealer, who appeared in season 5 and 6 with Matt Smith’s doctor. Later he reiterated the role in the Podcast Series Doctor Hu: The Elevage Doctor Chronicles and Jenny, the doctor’s daughter.
Fisher-Baikar’s agent Kim Barry shared a heartfelt tribute, called him a 15-year-old friend. Barry told the metro, “Today I not only lost a customer in Simon Fisher-Baker, but a close personal friend.” “When I offered part of Dorium Moldovar in BBC’s doctor, I will never forget that phone call.”
Barry described Fisher-Bekar as a talented writer, RiContore and Public Speaker. She said that she was a great help for her and was always kind, kind and interested in others. She also shared her condolences to her husband Tony, her family and many of her fans.
Beyond Harry Potter and Doctor Hu, Fisher-Baikar had a successful career in British television and film. He appeared in the BBC comedy puppy love and appeared in the classic show in a leg, bill, love soup and later guest appearances.
