Hansika Motwani on divorce from Sohail Khaturia: It’s better to get off the wrong train
Actress Hansika Motwani has revealed about her divorce from Sohail Khaturia. He shared that he is in a better emotional state and is grateful for the support of his family during this personal phase.
Actress Hansika Motwani has spoken for the first time about her divorce from Sohail Khaturia, a month after the couple officially separated. Although their separation has led to much public discussion, the actress has made it clear that she has no intention of getting involved in the speculation.
Hansika and Sohail were granted divorce by mutual consent in a family court in Bandra, Mumbai on March 11.
Hansika Motwani breaks silence on her divorce
In a recent interview with HauterflyHansika addressed the attention surrounding her personal life with clarity. She said, “People wanted clickbait, they got it. They wanted headlines; they got it. I’ve never made it clear, nor will I, because it doesn’t matter to me. That’s OK. I have no regrets. It’s better to get off the train than get in trouble if you get on the wrong train.”
The actor said that he is in a better emotional state after the separation and has chosen to focus on his well-being rather than public perception.
Hansika on choosing privacy
Reiterating her stance, Hansika said that the specifics of the separation will remain private. According to him, such matters should be kept between the individuals concerned.
He also acknowledged the support system that helped him through this period, and revealed that his family – especially his mother and brother – stood by him unconditionally. After the divorce, Hansika traveled to Japan with her family to take a break and reset.
Hansika and Sohail got married in a grand ceremony at Mundota Fort and Palace in December 2022. Their wedding was later documented in the 2023 Jio Hotstar series Hansika’s love marriage drama.
Hansika’s recent work
Talking about the work front, Hansika was last seen in the film 2024. GuardianDirected by Sabari and Guru Saravanan. The film received mixed responses from audiences and critics. She also appeared as a judge on the Telugu dance show dhi celebrity special 2 And is set to act in an upcoming Telugu film Intoxication.
