Hands-on review of Xiaomi Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4

Introduction

Xiaomi has just unveiled the Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4. Both these new foldable smartphones are packed with innovation and are true flagships in every way, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

These are the company’s thinnest and lightest foldable devices to date, with surprisingly powerful hardware on the inside, including large batteries and capable camera setups. Here are some quick specs for both devices.

Xiaomi Mix Flip specifications at a glance:

The Xiaomi Mix Flip is available in three memory variants – 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB, which will retail at CNY 5,999 ($825/€758), CNY 6,499 ($894/€821) and CNY 7,299 ($1,004/€922)Respectively.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is also available in three memory variants – 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB, which will retail at CNY 8,999 ($1,238/€1,137), CNY 9,999 ($1,375/€1,263) and CNY 10,999 ($1,513/€1,390)in the domestic market, respectively.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, both of these models have a better chance of going international than their predecessors. Obviously, if they do, the prices will be different, but still the foldable market is in dire need of more competition and these two look set to pose a serious challenge.
