Andhra Pradesh is working hard to become a green hydrogen hub and a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) development, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu told NDTV at the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos.

Green hydrogen is a clean energy source that emits only water vapor and leaves no residue in the air.

Shri Naidu, who is in Davos as part of ‘India Story’, said he is keeping a close eye on the latest global trends on investment.

Shri Naidu said, “Green energy, green hydrogen and AI are hot topics globally. We want to promote them and be leaders in them.”

He said that the speed of doing business has two aspects.

“The speed of doing business is one aspect. The other aspect is how departments can work to effectively and efficiently deliver services to citizens. We are in an inspiring time. We have access to historical data in such times When AI is maturing.” The combination of real-time data collection, updating and integration will help in creating quick solutions, the Chief Minister said.

“Earlier, I used to talk about transparency. Now, it is about increasing knowledge. That is what is happening. The speed of doing business is a reality. Trading should always be done within a stipulated time and that is where we are at work. “Investors have confidence and trust in us because of our strong track record,” Mr Naidu said.

green hydrogen

While Andhra wants to become a leader in green hydrogen production, globally green hydrogen is considered expensive. Asked whether he was confident the price would be something that would be viable for people across India, Mr Naidu said, “Global warming is a reality and we are crossing 1.5 (degrees Celsius). Everyone “There is concern and we are seeing its impact.” The issue around the world is how to bridge the gap between countries on green energy and green hydrogen. In our state, if you can go for solar, wind and pump energy as compared to your conventional energy, our average power purchase cost will be. Less than today.”

The green hydrogen sector is gradually maturing, he said, citing NTPC’s project for green hydrogen in Visakhapatnam, which is worth Rs 1.87 lakh crore.

“GreenCo is working on a large scale. Already, they have produced a hybrid model, solar, wind, pumped energy, green energy and now they want to go for green ammonia. They will start production within a year. Will do and are tying up with buyers. So, this is a reality which is gradually maturing,” Mr Naidu said.

drone city

Shri Naidu’s government is working on developing ‘Drone City’ in the state. This will increase mechanization and will bring with it many changes. He gave examples of how drones could become part of police patrol work.

“Earlier I had to deploy several personnel for police patrolling. Now I can deploy two-three drones and they will patrol. The personnel will intervene and go to the site if needed,” Mr Naidu said. “Many other similar applications can be developed in the field of health, education, medicine. When there is flood, I cannot reach every house. I can send relief material using drones. Drone Applications to India There’s some distance to go, which is why I want to create use cases.”

He said Andhra can provide a proof of concept, and if it proves to work, manufacturers can take it and scale it up.

“This is the model we are working on,” Mr Naidu said.

Amravati Project

Mr Naidu said he developed Hyderabad and built Cyberabad in undivided Andhra, and after partition he has been forced to develop another city, Amaravati. “Naturally, it will be the grandest with new technologies and environmental sustainability. India needs new cities… After Chandigarh, cities have only expanded but no new ones have been built.”

Mr Naidu said the Center was trying its best to help the state.

“But my kingdom was in deep trouble after five years of rule, complete destruction. Amaravati was almost overrun and destroyed. Polavaram was derailed. Development had completely stopped. I had a lot of problems. The NDA is helping us, but we cannot change things overnight. One good thing is that changes are happening very fast and Amaravati is also on the way,” Mr Naidu told NDTV.

The five-day meeting that began on Monday in Davos is exploring ways to restart growth, harness new technologies and strengthen social and economic resilience, according to the World Economic Forum. Nearly 3,000 leaders from more than 130 countries are participating in the global meeting, including 350 government leaders.

India’s participation in Davos aims to strengthen partnerships, attract investments and position the country as a global leader in sustainable development and technological innovation. India sent five Union Ministers, three Chief Ministers and ministers from several other states to the WEF this time.
