Govinda’s daughter Tina Ahuja is a well-known star kid of Bollywood. She recently courted controversy with her comments about period cramps. The actress claimed that period pain is a psychological concept and girls from big cities, Delhi and Mumbai, talk more about it. Whereas women in small towns do not experience this.
In an interview with her mother Sunita Ahuja on Hotterfly’s podcast, Tina Ahuja shared her views on women’s health. She claimed that menstrual cramps are primarily psychological and influenced by lifestyle choices. He further said that he has a desi way to maintain his body, like eating ghee.
The actress told that she controls her diet and gets good sleep, which keeps her hormonal problems at bay. The star kid further said that most of the girls face problems because they are on intense diets, whereas they do not suffer from back pain and cramps.
Ahuja further discussed the issue and mentioned that she feels that the problem of menstrual cramps among women in cities like Mumbai and Delhi is sensationalized. He believes the issue is
“I have mostly lived in Chandigarh, and I see this discussion mainly among girls from Bombay and Delhi. Half of the problem is psychological. People talk so much about cramps that people who don’t experience it They seem to feel that way too,” she commented.
The actress went further and pointed out the difference between women from big cities and women from Punjab. She said many people don’t even notice or feel anything about important life changes like menopause.
Her mother Sunita Ahuja supported Tina’s claims that a healthy, traditional lifestyle can prevent such issues. However, the comments have drawn criticism online, with many accusing him of dismissing his comments as insensitive. At the same time, many users criticized Ahuja, saying that she does not understand the real struggles that women face during their menstruation.
